Accounting Professor Emeritus “In the News” for Family History Book

Professor Emeritus William Staats will speak about his family’s history on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Native American Institute of the Hudson River Valley’s 12th annual Algonquian Peoples Seminar at New York State Museum in Albany. His lecture, “An Overview of Hoogebergh, the Staats Family and the Mohicans,” will be presented from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m.

Last year, Staats published “Three Centuries on the Hudson River,” about his family’s ties to the land and the community. His family has owned the homestead on Staats Island since the 17th century and still uses the home today.
