Active Shooter Drill on campus, Friday, May 6

In conjunction with the North Greenbush Police Department, the college will stage an active shooter drill in and around Lang Hall on the afternoon of Friday, May 6, 2016. This simulation will be a live event, with a full-staged response from both law enforcement and the college community. It is expected the event, response and follow-up will last approximately two hours.

The active shooter drill is the result of ongoing work and preparation headed by the college’s Emergency Response Committee.

Further details on the active shooter drill will be announced over the next week.

In addition, Public Safety will include a small folding card “Survive an Active Shooter Event,” in the next paycheck or pay stub envelope, which outlines protocol for dealing with this type of emergency. Additional cards, as well as a presentation for college offices can be requested by contacting Fred Aliberti, Director of Public Safety, at 629-7210.
