The Human Services/Addictions Counseling Program has received its recertification from the the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), Workforce Development and Talent Management Bureau Learning and Development Unit. The recertification will expire in May of 2028.
The Addictions Counseling Program offers an AAS degree in Addiction Counseling with a CASAC-T Certificate upon graduation. The department also has a micro-credential for the CASAC-T offering the core educational courses required by OASAS.
In August of 2024, the department was the recipient of an Opioid Settlement Grant through OASAS, that is dedicated to training entry level addictions counselors.
