New York State law now requires that all employees who receive a paycheck in the state must complete sexual harassment training annually. All employees of Hudson Valley Community College are required to complete the training by Dec. 31, 2018, and annual training is required.
Due to the Department of Labor’s current laws regarding sexual harassment:
- All current employees must be trained by Dec. 31, 2018
- All new employees must receive training within 30 days of hire
- Vendors who come on campus must be provided with a copy of the college’s sexual harassment policy
- In-person training will be offered by Affirmative Action Officer John Ogden in November; dates and times TBD
- On-line training will continue to be offered by WeComply (Thomas Reuters Solutions) for the current year
NYS Department of Labor Policy Statement on Sexual Harassment
Human Resources currently is updating the college’s Sexual Harassment Policy that is part of the Employee Handbook.
