Alumna who won 2023 Academy Award visits campus on April 20

Annemarie Bradley-Sherron, who just won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, will visit Hudson Valley Community College on Thursday, April 20 to talk about her career in films and television.

The 2023 Academy Award recognizes Bradley-Sherron’s work in “The Whale,” the story of a reclusive, morbidly obese English teacher (Brendan Fraser), who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. Most recently, she oversaw the hair department for “Dead Ringers,” a six-episode series that premiers April 21 on Prime Video. It’s about identical twins who are on a mission to change the way women give birth, starting in Manhattan.

On campus, Bradley-Sherron will meet with Assistant Professor Rosanne Raneri’s Acting III students at 3 p.m. in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre. Interested students and staff are welcome to attend.
