Alumni are featured presenters at 2015 Mohawk Watershed Symposium

 

Two of the five main speakers at the upcoming 7th Annual Mohawk Watershed Symposium, March 20 at Union College, are graduates of the HVCC Environmental Science program.

They are: Scott George, of the U.S. Geological Survey, New York Water Science Center, who will speak on “Spatial differences in contemporary fish assemblages of the Mohawk River” and Alexander J. Smith, NY State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, Division of Water, whose presentation will be “Water quality monitoring and assessment in the Mohawk River Basin.”

The Geology Department at Union College hosts the annual symposium on the physical aspects of the Mohawk Watershed in New York State.
