Art Exhibit in Library: Africa of My Heart

 

“Africa of My Heart,” a series of seven photographs by Dr. Cesar Chelala, is on exhibit in the Marvin Library atrium.

Dr. Chelala’s photographs straddle the worlds of fine art photography and photojournalism. As a public health consultant for the United Nations, the Organization of American States and the World Health Organization, he has been in missions to all the continents and has visited Africa many times.

His photographs have been exhibited in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Argentina. His work regularly is shown at the Martinez Gallery in Troy. Dr. Chelala is also a prolific writer and award-winning journalist.

The exhibition will be in the atrium of the library for the month of March.
