AUDITIONS for the Theatre Arts Program’s production of Almost, Maine by Jonn Cariani will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Maureen Stapleton Theatre.
The auditions are open to all students. No special preparation is required. Performances will take place April 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30 pm.
Almost, Maine is a place that’ts so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. One cold, clear night, as the northern lights hover in the sky above, the people of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected, sometimes hilarious, and often very poignant ways. Their relationships vibrate with an intriguing range of intention and understanding. Romantic, playful, insightful, challenging, and uplifting, the play is a provocative love letter with an unusual heart. The play includes a series of nine scenes that address the issue(s) of love with a touch of magic-realism.
