Do you have the supplies you need to survive an awful mess? The Sand Lake Town Library is raffling off an “Awful Mess Survival Kit” that includes a bottle of red wine (Yellow Tail Shiraz), a package of Lindt Lindor dark chocolate truffles, an encouraging Willow Tree figurine, and a signed copy of the novel, “The Awful Mess: A Love Story” by adjunct English instructor Sandra Hutchison. (Its heroine makes an awful mess of her life, but manages to find her happy ending anyway.) The survival kit was donated by the author and all proceeds will benefit the library.
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be purchased at the front desk. (The book, which has 163 reviews and 4.3 stars at Amazon.com, also is available for borrowing by library patrons or you can purchase the Kindle version at a special discount at Amazon.com for only $1.99 through April 10.)
The raffle drawing will be held Saturday, April 12 during the Library Volunteer Reception, which begins at 1 p.m.
Chocolate lovers should note that the library also is selling solid chocolate Easter bunnies (both milk and dark chocolate with a festive bow) from Krause’s Homemade Candy at the front desk — for $5 each. Those funds also support the library.
