Axe DevTools – Checking Accessibility on the Web

Deque has created a wonderful tool free to users that checks the accessibility of websites. This tool is called Axe DevTools. It is an easy way to see if your website is accessible and shares what components of the website are inaccessible.

To install Axe DevTools:

1. Go to Axe DevTools Chrome Extension page
2. Click the button called “Add Extension.”

To use the tool:

1. Go to any webpage
2. Right click
3. Select “Inspect”
4. In the upper right corner, click the “>>” icon
5. Select “axe DevTools”
6. To run the scan, click the button called “Full Page Scan”
