The 2018-19 scholarship application is up and running, but we’re hoping to conduct a brief “beta test” before announcing it publicly.
Do you have a son or daughter who is currently attending or who will be attending in the fall? If so, please ask him/her to go to the online application and let me know how the process goes. I will use the feedback to improve the prompts and wording so other students can apply more easily.
Here are brief instructions for the students:
Applicants will need to write an essay of roughly 250 words describing their educational and career objectives, and how receiving a scholarship will help achieve those objectives. You can click “Save and Keep Editing” if your essay isn’t ready the first time you log in. You can also go back and change/update your essay any time before the application period closes on March 16.
Once you submit your general essay, you may be prompted to apply for additional scholarships. Only a few scholarships require letters of recommendation and you will be prompted if one is needed. The system sends an email to the person from whom you are requesting the reference.
