Bb 9.1 April 2014
This Blackboard tip of the week inaugurates a Bb Rx series of Bb Tips that will offer pointers on how to “rejuvenate” courses that faculty may have taught for a number of years, and which are consequently in need of a tune-up.
To commence this series with a short, sweet and to-the-point tip, look at your course menu: Does it contain mulitiple Announcements links, or multiple copies of other types of course-menu links? If so, simply delete the redundant links. The following “suite” of links points to tutorials that outline the steps for doing that, and highlight other ways in which to clean up and organize your Course Menu:
- Add/Delete a Divider
- Add/Rename/Delete a Subheader
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Blank Page
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Content Areas
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Course Link
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Module Page
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Tool Link to Bb Email
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Tool Link to Discussion Board
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Tool Link to My Grades
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Tool Link to Tools Area
- Add/Rename/Show-Hide/Delete Web Link
- Changing the Course Entry Point
- Course Navigation Overview
- Organize Course Menu
