The transition from the traditional classroom to teaching in a Web-enhanced environment is challenging, but rewarding. Using Blackboard to create a web-enhanced course (WEC), faculty can provide their students with ready access to course documents and materials, or even employ new, technology-based approaches to teaching and learning.
Starting on March 5, the Center for Distance and Online Learning will offer a workshop that runs each Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. and introduces faculty to the basic Blackboard tools and features that they can use to create and support a WEC.
Faculty whose schedules do not allow them to attend scheduled WEC workshops, can instead arrange for one-on-one WEC training at a time of their choosing. They can do so by contacting either Sherry Flansburg (629-8197/s.flansburg@hvcc.edu) or Mark Petersen (629-8128/m.petersen@hvcc.edu).
