The Black and Latino Student Union kicks off its “Uplifting Black and Brown Voices” movie series with a showing of BlacKkKlansman on Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Siek Campus Center, room 150.
The film is open free to all. Food will be available.
Directed by Spike Lee and based on actual events, BlacKkKlansman, is about Ron Stallworth, an African American police officer from Colorado Springs, who successfully infiltrates the local Ku Klux Klan branch aided by a Jewish surrogate. The 2018 film stars John David Washington, Adam Driver and Laura Harrier. It is rated R and runs 2 hours and 15 minutes.
