Access to books in prisons plays an important role in the rehabilitation of inmates by helping to build their literacy and education level. With budget cuts and limited resources, prison libraries are in dire need of books.
Please help stock these empty shelves by participating in a PTK-sponsored BOOK DRIVE from Oct. 17 through Oct. 21.
Donations of books are kindly appreciated from the HVCC Community and beyond to support this collaborative effort of the HVCC Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
New or gently used books are appreciated. Please no textbooks, magazines or encyclopedias.
