Siek Campus Center, room 130.

Monday – Thursday:  8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday:  8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday and Evening: by appointment

The Center for Access and Assistive Technology (CAAT) would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back and to remind you of the services we provide to students, staff and faculty with disabilities at Hudson Valley Community College.

CAAT Publications
The following brochures are available: Center for Access and Assistive Technology, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Policies & Guidelines for Alternative Testing Services. Please see the CAAT website for valuable information that is helpful for college faculty and staff, to ensure access to college programs and activities for individuals with disabilities.

Handicapped Parking
There are currently 111 handicapped spaces throughout the campus. Please see the locations below:

B-lot located on North Drive, 24 spaces
C-lot located near the student’s pavilion, 14 spaces
E-lot located on South Drive, 4 spaces to access the Joe Bruno Stadium
G-lot located on upper South Drive, 8 additional spaces for access to the Joe Bruno Stadium
G-lot SCB, 2 spaces
Holiday Drive at BTC, 8 spaces
Gene Haas CAMS, 4 spaces
H-lot located on the south side of Williams Road, 8 spaces
J-lot located near Williams Road, 6 spaces for access to Cogan Hall
Daycare Center, 1 additional space near the side entrance
N-lot located behind the Campus Center, 10 spaces
Visitors Lot on Holliday Drive, 4 spaces
Parking Garage, 9 spaces
North side of the Conway Ice Rink, 3 spaces
Fire lane, 4 spaces for access to Brahan Hall and the Science Center
Lapan Services Building, 2 spaces

Scooters
The Center for Access and Assistive Technology has seven electric scooters available on loan for students, staff, and faculty use, based on individual needs and documented disabilities.

Emergency Evacuation Chairs have been strategically placed in buildings throughout the entire campus in the event of an emergency situation.

Testing Center
The Center for Access and Assistive Technology is able to proctor in-person tests and quizzes for students with disabilities.

Distance Learning/Blackboard
Please contact the Distance Learning Department in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC), room 1042, or Phone: 518-629-7070, if you have any questions regarding adjustment of settings within Blackboard to provide accommodations. The CAAT and the Distance Learning Department work collaboratively to support both faculty and student needs with reasonable accommodations.
