It is time to start the process of selecting our Chancellor’s Award candidates for the 2016-2017 academic year!
The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence is one of the highest honors presented by the SUNY system. This award is intended to recognize individuals who exemplify excellence in the following areas: Librarianship, Professional Service (non-teaching professionals), Teaching, Adjunct Teaching, Faculty Service (department chairs and/or faculty), Scholarship and Creative Activities, and Classified Service. As a SUNY college, Hudson Valley may submit candidates for each category.
The college’s Chancellor’s Award committees now are seeking nominations for the 2016-2017 awards. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit nominations. (Please find links to nomination criteria and form below.)
It is a tremendous honor to receive this recognition. The committee is seeking qualified nominations of worthy candidates who have demonstrated, over a sustained period of time, attributes such as enthusiasm, dedication, scholarship, availability to students, innovation and other qualities that together constitute excellence.
Please submit nominations by June 14, 2016 to Don Frament in the LAC. Nominators may be called upon to assist the committees in preparing the nominee’s folder. If you have any questions, please contact Don Frament at 629-7569 or by email at d.frament@hvcc.edu.
