Calling all adventurers!

Sign up now to take part in a new Adventure Challenge for employees at Hudson Valley Community College! The inaugural event will take place Friday, Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in the McDonough Sports Complex.

It’s not necessary to be a triathlete to take part in the Adventure Challenge, which is adaptable to all skill levels. So, please consider stepping out of your daily routine to try something new and adventurous!

The goal is to enhance communication, leadership, trust and team-building skills among employees, but the means is plain old fun: hoops and ball throwing, turn-style jump rope, rock climbing, zip lining and more. Instructors Andrew Fuda and Christina Bieg will lead participants through a few ice-breaker exercises and name games so everyone can get acquainted before tackling such challenges as the Giant Swing and Pamper Pole.

The sign up deadline is Monday, Aug. 6. (At least 16 people must sign up in order for the event to be held.) Please call Human Resources at (518) 629-4552 to register.
