Campus well represented in Hudson Mohawk River Marathon

 

Chuck Terry, men’s  cross country coach, finished eighth overall and second in his age category with a time of 2:43 in Sunday’s Hudson Mohawk River Marathon. The race began in Schenectady’s Central Park and ended at Albany Riverfront Park in the Corning Preserve.

Sarah Popovics, assistant cross country coach, finished first in her age category and 23rd among women runners with a time of 3:28.  Both qualified for the 2014 Boston Marathon.

In addition, Alex Popovics qualified in his age category for the 2014 Boston Marathon with a time of 4:03, John Braungard completed the marathon in 3:52, while Karen Seward finished the half-marathon in 2:54. (The half marathon started at the Colonie Town Park in Cohoes.)

Elisa Pruden from the Graphics Department competed in the half marathon as a racewalker and completed the course in 3:02:40.
