Did you know that you can download a Kindle app for your smartphone, PC or other devices? You don’t need to own the Kindle device to read Kindle books.
Also, Kindle has a list of “Kindle Bestsellers” in two groups: 100 top paid and 100 top free. Many of the top free books are out-of-copyright — the sort of books that you can read on Project Gutenberg, but there are also freebies from best-selling authors thrown in here and there. I am assuming that the idea there is to get readers to fall in love with writers’ series and buy more. Whatever the reason, there are some great bargains for the Kindle.
Likewise, Barnes & Noble has a Nook reader application for various devices. You can always comparison shop if you are buying full-price e-books, between Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
The saying “Too many books, too little time” is becoming more true every day!
