The women’s basketball team (2-3) defeated SUNY Adirondack (3-3), 46-44, on Wednesday evening.
The Vikings trailed by one before Nikki Cavallo (Tamarac/Troy) converted a deep three-pointer with 11 seconds left to take a two-point lead. Adirondack had one last possession, but the shot came up short. Samantha Tomeck (Duanesburg/Duanesburg) led the Vikings with 21 points and six rebounds, and Cavallo added 15 points and seven rebounds in the win.
The women travel to Schenectady on Sunday for a game at 1 p.m.
