On behalf of the Black and Latino Student Union (BLSU), we extend a warm invitation to all members of our campus community to join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, we commemorate the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
This month is a time to recognize the diverse backgrounds, languages, traditions, and talents that have made Hispanic and Latino communities an integral part of the tapestry of our nation. The theme for this year is “Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America.”
We invite you to participate in various events and activities organized by BLSU to experience and celebrate the vibrant Hispanic and Latino culture. Enjoy music, dance, art, food, literature, and engage in discussions that highlight the incredible impact of the Hispanic and Latino community on our campus and beyond.
Let’s come together to foster understanding, unity, and respect for the diverse cultures that enrich our campus life. Join us in making this Hispanic Heritage Month a memorable and educational experience for all!
Stayed tuned for details about upcoming activities and events!
The next BLSU meeting is Monday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. in room 150 of the Siek Campus Center. We hope you’ll join us; all are welcome to attend.
