Celebrate Thanksgiving with a gift to United Way that will benefit campus initiatives!

For the first time ever, your annual contribution to the United Way of the Greater Capital Region will benefit your choice of important initiatives right here at Hudson Valley Community College! Every dollar raised on campus can be designated to benefit one or all of the following: Student Food Pantry, Student Emergency Fund, Viking Child Care Center.

The United Way Campaign Kick Off is now underway with President Roger Ramsammy, a United Way board member, and Regina LaGatta, executive director of External and Government Affairs, serving as campaign ambassadors. Regina serves on the United Way’s “United Women” committee.

A United Way table will be set up at the campus Thanksgiving Celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Please stop by and make a gift!

I will continue to be the campus campaign coordinator. I’ll send out an email as I always do in the next couple of weeks. But you don’t have to wait until you hear from me. You can use the following link — https://app.mobilecause.com/form/3wXzUQ?vid=2zyey — to access the United Way donation page where you can set up a payroll deduction or make a one-time or recurring contribution using a credit or debit card. (Donations can be earmarked for the United Way Community Care Fund as well.) Contributions are requested by Monday, Dec. 2 to close out the campaign in time for Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3.

Each and every dollar donated will go a long way to help where needed most!

Sincerely,
Professor Andy Schott
