Sponsored by the Sustainability Committee, the day will feature eco-friendly vendor displays, a cell phone recycling center (please bring phone, charger and any accessories), give-away of pine seedlings, a seed and plant exchange, a biodiesel energy exhibit and acoustic music in the Siek Campus Center.
Other activities include tours of Hudson Valley’s co-gen plant, a guided bird walk and hike on the nature trail, a demonstration of solar oven cooking, and a lecture on developing native landscapes.
The committee is seeking donations of seeds and plant seedlings. Both must be non-invasive species, preferably natives, and seeds must be no more than one year old.
