Summer Cohort for Online Instructor Training Begins May 22
The Center for Distance and Online Learning is excited to announce that our summer training schedule and registration form is available for Online Instructor Training. This training will prepare you for teaching either fully online asynchronous or hybrid courses during the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semesters.
Online Instructor Training 1
The online instructor training workshop series is for faculty who will teach either fully online asynchronous (no set meeting time) or hybrid classes (limited real-time meetings online or in-person). During training, faculty meet with Instructional Designers either remotely or in-person for two hours each week for 7-weeks to learn the HVCC online toolkit, online learning strategies, and best practices for quality assurance. In between class sessions, faculty work on their own or with support to build the course they will be teaching. At the end of the workshop, the completed course build will run through an OSCQR rubric to ensure best practices in quality assurance are present. The course is then sent to the faculty’s DC for review and approval.
- Training begins May 22 and is available in the BTC 1033 lab or on Zoom. Further details and registration form can be found on our training page:
