Supported by the SUNY Center for Professional Development, the University at Buffalo, and Binghamton University, SUNY TOEP is an On-Demand Discovering Learning Professional Development program. Its goal is to encourage faculty and staff to explore new technologies with a focus on impacting the student learning experience.
Hudson Valley Community College recently became one of the 21 colleges and universities within the SUNY system to enter Phase 5 of this project, which runs until April 4, 2017.
Any faculty or staff member can participate in these learning activities while earning badges, as well as possible professional development points and other awards based on peer review. Some of the learning activities include lifelong learning, collaborative spaces, flipped learning, open educational resources, online learning, gamification, social media, and much more.
Anyone who is interested in participating in this project must register no later than Feb. 14, 2017. From there, each participant must complete five (5) short activities (30-60 minutes) by the end of the project deadline.
Along with earning TOEP badges, anyone completing the learning activities could also receive credit for the CET Teaching and Learning certificate.
