Changes to COVID-19 Policy for Fall 2022

To the campus community,

Information regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for Fall 2022 was shared recently with fall accepted and scheduled students via their Hudson Valley Community College email address and is now posted on the COVID-19 Related Communications webpage.

This information reflects changes made to the vaccination policy for students who will be attending in-person classes. COVID-19 vaccination is now recommended, but not required, for students attending in-person courses at Hudson Valley Community College for the Fall 2022 semester.

We continue to encourage all new and returning students who are vaccinated to use the “Submit Vaccination Record” form on the college’s COVID-19 webpage to upload documentation, if they have not done so already. If they have received a booster since their last semester, they can update their status by uploading additional documentation.

Pooled surveillance testing will continue during the fall term, but will not be required for unvaccinated individuals on campus.

Please note that students enrolled in Health Science programs requiring participation in a clinical or internship held at a third-party location must comply with all health and safety guidelines, including any vaccination or testing protocols, that are in place at the third-party location. Academic departments will notify students who need to take further action.

The college’s vaccine requirements and other health and safety protocols are subject to change. Visit www.hvcc.edu/covid19 for additional information.

Regards,

Louis Coplin
Vice President for Student Affairs
