The next HVCC Chemistry Club meeting is this coming Monday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. in SCI 385.
The meeting topic is Chemistry Rocks! We will be viewing an American Chemical Society (ACS) webinar entitled ”Chemistry Rocks! Exploring the Chemistry of Rocks and Minerals.” Attendees will hear about the use of minerals to improve the quality of life, the structural chemistry of various gemstones, biomineralization, the energy-water-food nexus, extremophiles, and careers in rock and mineral chemistry. The webinar is part of the ACS Program-in-a-Box program.
