Cheryl Strayed, best-selling author, on campus on March 12

Cheryl Strayed, author of “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail,” will visit  campus on Thursday, March 12 to offer a reading, talk and book signing. The event — free to all — begins at 7 p.m. in the BTC auditorium.

“Wild” chronicles Strayed’s solo, 1,100-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail, undertaken in the wake of her mother’s death, a divorce and slide into an out-of-control lifestyle that included heroin use. “Wild” has been a New York Times Best Seller for 99 weeks and was released as a major motion picture in December 2014.

Please note: Tickets for Cheryl Strayed will be distributed at the door on a first-come basis. Doors to the BTC auditorium will open at 6:15 p.m. with attendees allowed to gather beforehand in the lobby. No tickets will be distributed before 5 p.m.

If necessary, the program will be broadcast live to an overflow seating area located in the BTC meeting rooms.

Cheryl Strayed is presented by the Cultural Affairs Program. The Viking Cove Bookstore will be selling her books at the event.
