Cheryl Strayed’s visit to campus

Author Cheryl Strayed addressed a capacity audience of 400 people at Hudson Valley Community College on March 12. She shared an excerpt from her best-seller, “Wild,” as well as “Tiny Beautiful Things,” a collection of her former Dear Sugar advice columns.

But mostly she spoke from the heart about her desire to share with readers a belief that life is a journey of ups and downs taken one step at a time – not unlike her 1,100-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail that became the memoir (and a major motion picture), “Wild.”
