Classroom Survey to be used in Creation of Design Guidelines

Yesterday, the Facility Review Committee, a sub-committee of Academic Senate’s Planning Committee, sent out a classroom survey.  We urge you to take this survey.

Our committee wants to be proactive on many levels and intends to use this information as the first step in accumulating data on what constitutes a good classroom.  Our questions are arranged by types of classes taught to give us feedback for a variety of needs.  Based upon your feedback, we hope to come up with design guidelines for use in future projects, both new construction and renovations.  Many colleges have created such documents. Although we recognize how difficult it will be to compile, the end results will be worth the effort.

If you are a faculty member and have not provided your feedback through this survey, please take a few minutes to assist us and your colleagues. The results will be made available in the Academic Senate folders on the My Hudson Valley Portal once tabulated.

As always, if you have any questions regarding the Facility Review Committee or construction projects on campus, contact any member of the committee. The members are listed in the Facility Review Committee folder under Committees in the Academic Senate organization on the portal.
