College extends Instant Admission Days at new Capital South Campus Center in Albany

 

Hudson Valley Community College will continue its “Instant Admission Days” at the new Capital South Campus Center Wednesday, July 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as on
Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. IA Days also were held July 21 and July 22.

Prospective students can meet with admissions counselors and be admitted for the Fall 2014 terms on the spot.

The Capital South Campus Center (CSCC), a new educational facility located in the South End of Albany at 20 Warren St., will be home to a variety of opportunities for adult students, including tutors and mentors, a drop-in daycare center, as well as career and educational advisement.

Hudson Valley is one of a dozen partners who will offer training and education at the site. The college this fall plans to offer Basic Math with Study Skills (MATH 095), Business Concepts and Applications (BADM 100), Business Math (BADM 120), Introduction to Criminal Justice (CRJS 101) and Sociology (SOCL 100).

The college will waive its $30 application fee for those who apply on any Instant Admission Day. Prospective students should bring their academic records, and those wishing to begin the financial aid process should bring their most recent tax returns as well.
