College hosts The Community’s Job Fair

Tuesday, March 11
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
McDonough Sports Complex

More than 80 employers with full-time job openings within a 50-mile radius of the Capital Region are expected to participate in the annual Community’s Job Fair, which is sponsored by the college’s Center for Careers and Employment. Openings exist in a variety of fields, including human services, technology, automotive, education, business, healthcare, sales, construction and industrial technologies.

Professional attire is required (shirt/tie/jacket, pant/skirt suit), and you will need to bring several copies of your resume.  While the job market forecast is improving, it remains important to make a good first impression in your search for employment.

For assistance preparing for the job fair, writing a resume or practicing for an interview, please contact the Center for Careers and Employment at 518-629-7326, cce@hvcc.edu or www.hvcc.edu/cce. It is best to make an appointment if you wish to meet with a career counselor.

Gently-worn career and professional clothing is available at no charge from Katrina’s Closet, operated by the student club, Sisters, Inc. For information, contact Professor Tamu Chambers at (518) 629-7431 or t.chambers@hvcc.edu.

The fair also will feature free cancer screenings throughout both days. No appointment necessary.
