Hudson Valley Community College moved up a notch to rank second in the Times Union’s 2017 “Best of the Capital Region” readers’ poll. The official results, announced March 23, for Best College are:
1. University at Albany
2. Hudson Valley Community College, Troy
3. Siena College, Loudonville
4. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy
5. The College of Saint Rose, Albany
In 2015 and 2016, the college ranked third behind #2 Siena College and #1 UAlbany. Hudson Valley again is the only two-year college to place among the top colleges in the region. Prior to 2015, the poll included a “best two-year college” category, in which Hudson Valley Community College took first place for six consecutive years (2009-2014). This was the 20th year of the reader’s poll, the Times Union reported.
