College in the High School welcomes teachers back to campus

On March 29, the Office of High School Programs and Educational Outreach welcomed more than 30 College in the High School teachers to campus for its annual Faculty Development Day. This is the first time the teachers have been back to campus since October 2019.

Ronalyn Wilson, assistant vice president for Academic Affairs and Interim Dean of Liberal Arts and Business, opened the program with an overview of the new SUNY Gen Ed requirements. Chrissy Smith, founder and CEO of Together Thriving, gave a wonderful talk about mental health and self-care strategies for both teachers and their students. Teachers then met with their respective department chairs and faculty.

Thank you to all department chairs and faculty for volunteering your time, and thank you also to the many departments — graphics, marketing, events, media technology, and PRIME Dining — for helping us organize this successful event.
