At a press conference on May 20, Hudson Valley Community College announced an unprecedented opportunity for local high school students and their families: all expenses – tuition, books and fees – associated with its more than 50 College in the High School courses offered this summer will be fully covered by a scholarship provided by the college.
Kyle Belokopitsky, executive director of the New York State’s Parent Teacher Association, James Cultrara, co-chair of the Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools, along with Isadora Lee, a current CIHS student, and Raymond Hoffman, a former CIHS student, and Chris Fournier, a counselor at Cohoes High School, joined President Roger Ramsammy at the news event held in the BTC lobby. Other college leaders and staff attended as well.
