The Grants Development Office is proud to announce that the college’s Northeast Advanced Technological Education Center (NEATEC) received a $2,151,310 grant from the National Science Foundation to expand nanotechnology and semiconductor training opportunities.
NEATEC’s objective is to fulfill the training needs of nanotechnology and semiconductor manufacturing industries in New York State and Western New England through development, demonstration and utilization of new materials, curricula and delivery methods by using the resources of academia, industry, and government.
The Center represents collaborative partnerships that include GlobalFoundries, IBM, General Electric, SEMATECH, Hudson Valley Community College, RPI, Rochester Institute of Technology, College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, SUNY IT, Mohawk Valley Community College, Fulton Montgomery Community College, Adirondack Community College, plus regional school districts and other community colleges in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
