As announced earlier, the college will hold its 70th annual Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11 at the McDonough Sports Complex.
Schedule of Events
9 a.m. — School of STEM (all degree and certificate programs)
11:30 a.m. — School of Health Sciences (all degree and certificate programs)
2 p.m. — School of Business and Liberal Arts (all degree and certificate programs)
Faculty planning to participate in the academic procession should report to the Multi-Purpose Room (located between the McDonough lobby and Hudson Hall) in academic regalia 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Light refreshments such as beverages, muffins, pastries, fruit, cookies, etc. will be provided there and at the Student Pavilion throughout the day.
Faculty will process into the McDonough Field House — following the Class of 2024 and led by marshals — to reserved faculty seating areas. It is anticipated that each ceremony will be approximately one hour and fifteen minutes in length. At the conclusion of the conferral of degrees, the college will celebrate graduates with a standing ovation and the deployment of cold sparkler machines stationed near the platform.
During the recessional, faculty will follow the Platform Party out of the Field House. All are welcome to enjoy food and beverages with graduates and guests after the ceremony at the Student Pavilion area.
