Community outreach planned at Troy Farmer’s Market

Support from the campus community is needed to assist in a new outreach activity at the Troy Farmers Market!

Beginning Saturday, Feb. 15,  Hudson Valley Community College will have a vendor’s table to distribute college material and talk with prospective students during the weekly Troy Farmer’s Market at the Troy Atrium at 49 Fourth St. in downtown Troy.** The Farmer’s Market –ranked among the best in the nation — is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday, according to Market Manager Steve Ridler.

Ridler said having Hudson Valley at the market is a great opportunity to meet and greet residents, who may be interested in taking a course or may have questions about enrolling. The Troy Market Project is just another opportunity to take advantage of meeting people where they are, to share information about our dynamic academic programs, according to Louis Coplin, vice president for Student Affairs.

If you are interested in assisting on a select Saturday, please contact the Admissions Office at (518) 629-7309.

**The Troy Atrium takes up much of the city block defined by Third and Fourth streets and Fulton Street and Broadway.
