Twin Town Little league which operates the baseball fields across Williams Road from the college’s Viking Day Care Center is looking for volunteers on Friday, Nov. 17 to help lay down sod on the new field they are building.
The sod will arrive onsite at 7 a.m. and volunteers are invited to come and go as they please, but any help would be appreciated, be it one or six hours. We are trying to place all the infield sod as soon as possible.
Students from the Civil Engineering Technology program already volunteered time Nov. 15 to layout the infield using the colleges land surveying equipment, but the league could really use the help on Friday to get the infield done before the weather turns.
Volunteers can just show up anytime on Friday. You will get dirty, so dress appropriately.
