Sara Milonovich and Daisycutter
Thursday, Nov. 29 from noon to 1 p.m.
Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium
Beacon-based Daisycutter blazes a unique musical trail playing a “mix of bluegrass with a twinge of political-punk attitude and lyrics” (Jeff Sweatman, The Corner). Fronted by singer/songwriter/fiddler Sara Milonovich, and featuring a stellar lineup of roots music veterans, the band fuses indie roots-rock with alt-country. A farm girl from upstate New York, Milonovich founded Rootstock, a nonprofit music festival dedicated to supporting the next generation of Northeast farmers, in 2016. The band released “Waiting For The Stars,” the long-awaited follow up to its 2009 self-titled debut album, that same year.
Presented by the Cultural Affairs program.
