Community members interested in discussing their college options can visit an academic advisor from Hudson Valley Community College at the Troy branch of the Capital District YMCA this fall.
Academic advisement appointments may be scheduled between 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through mid-December with the exception of Nov. 20 and Nov. 27. The Troy YMCA is located at 2500 21st Street in the city of Troy.
The outreach is part of the college’s efforts to bring college information and academic planning directly to the local community. Advisor Larry Ellis can help prospective students register for individual classes or become fully enrolled in a degree or certificate program at the college. Information about the college’s Workforce Development Institute career training courses also will be available.
