Counseling and Wellness Services: “Embracing You” Self-Esteem Support Group

“Embracing You”

Self-esteem is all about how we perceive and value ourselves. It encompasses the opinions and beliefs we have about ourselves, such as whether we like ourselves, feel that we are important, that we can make decisions and assert ourselves or that we are worthy of positive experiences.

Our self-esteem can influence our life in a myriad of ways, such as our academic or professional success, our relationships and our physical and mental health. Our self-esteem isn’t set in stone, our experiences and interactions with others throughout our lives can have an impact on our self-esteem.

Are you struggling with your self-esteem or feelings of self-worth? If so, join us for a four-week virtual support group beginning Wednesday, March 30.

Beginning March 30th , the “Embracing You” Self-Esteem Virtual Peer Support Group will run for four weeks, meeting every Wednesday at 10 a.m.

In order to practice social distancing, each session will be facilitated via Zoom and last up to 45 minutes. Please note that we do require prior registration to attend the group. The expectation is that students are able to attend the group for all four weeks, beginning on March 30. Current students may contact Counseling and Wellness Services for more information or to register for the group! We look forward to working with you!
