Friday Flex For Your Mental Health

Exercise not only improves your physical health, but it can have amazing benefits for our mental health. According to HelpGuide.org, exercise can assist us in managing our depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, PTSD and trauma, more effectively, in many different ways. It can even improve our resiliency, result in better sleep, foster a higher sense of self-esteem, lead to feeling more energized, and increase our focus and memory. For the full article click here.

Brick Mental Health Foundation, whose purpose is to “Integrate salutogenic approaches, such as exercise, nutrition and mind-body practices, into treating mental illness and promoting mental wellness.”

Week 5
Yoga For Self Care invites you to take 10 minutes of your day to practice self care and love of self. We spend a lot of time on our phones, computers, in traffic, working, and taking care of others. Take TEN to tend to your mind and body with this practice that combines yoga asana, breath, and massage. Great for your bedtime routine. Move in a way that feels good, tend to your heart space and cultivate self love with this 10-minute loving, healing, mindfulness practice.
