Counseling and Wellness Services is happy to announce the return of nature walks on the new and improved Nature Trail, starting at the putting green!
Today, Wednesday April 17 at 10 a.m.
Counseling and Wellness Services invites you to come enjoy nature, get some exercise, and destress from the semester. Walking, especially in nature, has numerous benefits for our physical health, but also has many benefits for our mental and emotional health. To learn more about the benefits of spending time in nature, take a look at this article from the American Psychological Association.
We apologize at the lack of consistency of hosting these nature walks this semester. Due to the late March snowstorm, a bunch of trees were knocked down on the LaPan Upper Trail. Finally, the rain has not been kind to us as of late, as you all know.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join us on our walk. We will depart with the group shortly after the starting time, so please try to be timely. We will walk from the putting green to the nature trail and then back onto the campus.
Look for upcoming announcements in the next couple of weeks for additional time slots, weather pending! Feel free to use the Nature Trail even if you can’t attend our organized walks, as it is open to everyone.
Hope you get out and walk with us!
