The staff in Counseling and Wellness Services hopes everyone is having a great first week of the Spring 2021 semester!
The Counseling and Wellness Services counselors are available Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (via phone or Zoom sessions) for the counseling, consultation, and referral needs of currently-registered students.
Counseling and Wellness Services also partners with community agencies to provide students with additional specialized support, virtually. One of our partnerships is with Crime Victim Services of St. Peter’s Health Partners.
Ryan Melone, a mental health counselor at Crime Victim Services, is offering specific office hours for Hudson Valley Community College students. Below is more information about Ryan, Crime Victims Services and how students can access these resources and make an appointment a counselor at Crime Victim Services.
Crime Victim Services offers confidential services to survivors of crime at no cost. Services include individual counseling and therapy, support groups, legal advocacy and accompaniments, medical advocacy and accompaniments, accompaniments to the emergency room and Sexual Assault Nurse Exams (SANE), a 24-hour crisis hotline, among many more. Crime Victim Services counselors can help you talk through and heal from your experiences, all while helping you explore options for maintaining safety and pursuing justice.

For urgent concerns, students are encouraged to call the Crime Victim Services 24-hour hotline at (518) 271-3257.
Additionally, HVCC students may contact Ryan Melone over an open Zoom call every Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
