3.1 New Course – CRJS 243 Introduction to Criminal Justice Research – Submitted by Dr. Ann Geisendorfer
The department proposes this course to explore more in-depth research methods and primary sources of data in the criminal justice field.
3.2 New Certificate – Special Education Assistant Certificate – Submitted by Dr. Dawn Kolakoski
The department introduces this program to allow interested students to focus their studies on Special Education.
3.3 New Course – EMSP 103 EMT Refresher – Submitted by Patricia Hyland
This new course would allow for a regular, recurring two credit EMT refresher course.
3.4 Change in Degree Requirements – Respiratory Care, AAS – Submitted by Patricia Hyland
The department seeks to reduce the credits in this program to meet the 72 credit limit granted by SUNY and add additional course options to limit degree substitutions.
3.5 Change in Prerequisites, Change in Co-requisites – ARTS 152 Gallery Practicum – Museum Practices and Theory – Submitted by Scott Hathaway
This change is proposed to facilitate Fine Arts students’ smooth progression toward degree completion.
3.6 Change in Degree Requirements – Digital Media Certificate – Submitted by Scott Hathaway
The department proposes these changes to facilitate the ability to offer this program in a totally online format in the next academic year.

The department seeks to offer students in the program the broader view of art exhibitions and installations as well as another side of professional art practice.

The department proposes these changes to meet the needs of more non-traditional students currently entering the program.

The department proposes a new course focusing on trends within the addictions field that will be part of a new certificate program.
3.10 New Certificate – Chemical Dependency Counseling – Submitted by Maryanne Pepe
The department seeks to increase the number of professionals attending HVCC to obtain the necessary credential to sit for the NYS CASAC exam.
3.11 Deactivate Degree/Certificate Program – Disabilities Studies Certificate – submitted by Maryanne Pepe
The department proposes this deactivation due to low enrollment in the program.

The department seeks to deactivate this course since it is no longer an active offering of the department.
