3.1 Change in Degree Requirements: Civil Engineering Technology A.A.S Degree Program
Submitted by Dr. Christine LaPlante
The proposal reflects department recommended changes in degree requirements including the removal of PHYS 136 to meet the SUNY policy for 64 credit maximum.

3.2 New Course: CISS 217 Cloud Computing
Submitted by James Looby.
The department seeks to offer a new elective course in cloud computing.

3.3 Change in Degree Requirements: Computer Information Systems A.S Degree Program
Submitted by James Looby
The department seeks to change the number of restricted SUNY Gen Ed credits for this degree.

3.4 Change in Prerequisite or Corequisite: ECMN 190 Electric Power Systems

The department seeks to remove the current requirement for a prerequisite or corequisite for this course.

3.5 Change in Prerequisite: ECMN 210 Photovoltaic Systems Theory and Design

3.6 New Program: Clean Energy Management A.A.S Degree Program

The department proposes a new degree program that will serve a need in the industry as well as providing a new relevant degree for a broad range of prospective students.

The proposal reflects a change in concepts covered in this course with a decrease in credit and contact hours and catalog description.

3.8 Change in Credit and Contact Hours/Change in Catalog Description/25% Change in Course Content: AUBR 240 Basic Automotive Refinishing I

The proposal reflects an addition of a lab component to this course and the changes in credit/contact hours, description and content resulting from that addition.

The proposal reflects the changes made to AUBR 265, AUBR 240, AUTO 145 and the removal of ENGL 101 as a degree requirement.

3.11 Change in Credit and Contact Hours: AUTO 235 Automotive Electronics

The department seeks to increase the contact hours of the lecture portion of this course to provide opportunity to cover more relevant content for students. A corresponding increase in credit hours is also reflected.

3.12 Change in Degree Requirements: Automotive Technical Services A.O.S. Degree Program

The proposal reflects the changes made to AUTO 235 and AUTO 145; the removal of AUTO 130 and ENGL 101as degree requirements; and the addition of AUBR 265 as a required course.

3.13 New Course: SURG 101 Surgical Technology I – Fundamentals for Surgical Technology

The department proposes a new introductory course in surgical technology skills to support the proposed degree and certificate programs.

3.14 New Course: SURG 102 Surgical Technology II – Principles of Surgical Technology

The department proposes a new introductory course in surgical procedures and legal aspects of practice to support the proposed degree and certificate programs.

3.15 New Course: SURG 201 Surgical Technology III

The department proposes a new course in various surgical specialties and related surgical set ups to support the proposed degree and certificate programs.

3.16 New Course: SURG 202 Surgical Technology IV

The department proposes a new course in surgical technology related to certification and work preparation in this field that supports the proposed degree and certificate programs.

3.17 New Program: Surgical Technology Certificate

This new certificate program will support the needs of local employers now required to hire certified surgical technologists.

3.18 New Program: Surgical Technology A.A.S Degree Program
Submitted by Dr. Carol Bosco
This new degree program will support the needs of local employers now required to hire certified surgical technologists and anticipates the expected requirement of an Associate Degree for these positions in the near future.
