The program changes are being made to comply with SUNY Seamless Transfer and include reducing the required credits to 62 and ensuring students are able to complete 7 of 10 general education requirements upon completion.

The program changes will replace the internship with a business elective which will assist students in completing requirements and improved transfer credits.

The program changes will assist students in completing degree requirements as well as reduce credits to meet SUNY Seamless Transfer requirements

3.19 New Course – CISS 115 Introduction to Game Design and Development.

The content taught in this course is highly sought after by present and prospective students. The proposed course will help to support marketing initiatives and add relevance to the CIS curriculum.

3.20 New Course – CISS 180 Introduction to Robotics. Submitted by James Looby and the CIS Faculty.
This course is being proposed in response to the rapidly maturing remote sensing and control functionality in many disciplines and the growing application for embedded and autonomous systems. The proposed course will help to support marketing initiatives and add relevance to the CIS curriculum.

3.21 Change in Course Title and Catalog Description for CISS 102 Unix Operating Systems.
Submitted by James Looby and the CIS Faculty.
The proposed changes to course title and description will help to effectively market this course to prospective students.

3.22 Change in Catalog Description for CISS 120 Networking I – Introduction to Data Communication. Submitted by James Looby and the CIS Faculty.
The proposed changes to course description more accurately reflect present course content and changes to the Cisco Academy certifications.
