Cyber security training

 

Given the increased attention being focused on information security and its importance in both our professional and personal lives, Hudson Valley Community College Security Awareness Training will be offered for all employees on April 5, April 6 and April 28.

The April 28 session should be seen as a make-up opportunity for those who cannot register for the earlier sessions offered on April 5 and April 6.

Department leaders should encourage staff and faculty to sign-up early for one of the sessions below.

Who will benefit from this training? It will be an hour well spent if you can answer yes to any of the following questions:

*  Do you have trouble creating / remembering secure passwords?

*  Tips on creating / remembering secure passwords
*  How to help prevent viruses / damage to your hard drive
*  What to look for in an email to identify a potential threat (i.e. PHISHING!)
*  The number one way individuals and businesses get breached
*  How to protect yourself when using mobile devices and wireless networks
